JawAtlas Privacy Policy

JawAtlas collects no data. Everything you import or create in the app stays on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no servers.
What the app does with your data
JawAtlas is a fully offline education and training app for viewing dental CBCT scans. All processing happens on your iPhone or iPad:
- Scans stay on the device. DICOM files you import are converted and stored only in the app's local storage, protected by iOS file encryption. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Identifying information is removed at import. The app reads only technical imaging tags from DICOM files. Names, patient identifiers, birth dates and contact details present in source files are never written to storage.
- No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. The app contains no sign-in, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party code. It makes no network connections.
- Sharing is always your action. Cases, images and PDF summaries leave the device only when you explicitly share them through the iOS share sheet, to a destination you choose.
- Camera. The camera image is used live, on screen, solely for the augmented-reality view. It is not recorded, stored or transmitted.
- Face ID. The optional app lock uses the system's authentication. The app never accesses biometric data; iOS only tells it whether unlocking succeeded.
Data collected by us
None. We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data, usage data or content from the app. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request a copy of and nothing to ask us to delete — your data exists only on your device, under your control.
Children's privacy
JawAtlas collects no data from anyone, including children.
Intended use
JawAtlas is an education and training aid. It is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment planning or any clinical decision.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
